KG Images
KG Images is the website of Kevin Goodchild. Essex-based Kevin is one of those photographers with the enviable talent of being able to produce the highest quality images, regardless of the genre. In all his photographs, whether of a landscape at sunrise, a model in a studio, or a close-up of a thistle head, his natural eye and professional technique shine through.

Andrew Fyfe
Andrew Fyfe lives in the attractive and historic riverside town of Maldon in Essex. However, his stunning landscape photography represents the beauty not only of his home county but also of Dorset, Northumberland, Cumbria and other spectacular regions of the UK. His website, a pleasure to visit, has been thoughtfully designed so that his images are viewable in galleries defined both by region and by theme.

Kate Barclay Photography
Kate Barclay is an inspiring landscape photographer who produces delicate and sensitively lit images of the rural and coastal landscape of her home county of Norfolk. Kate has an artist’s eye for recognising the potential in the rhythms and patterns of the natural landscape - as can be seen in the simple but breath-taking beauty of her image entitled Reflections. Kate and John Duckett will be offering workshops during 2008.

Chris Calver Photography
Chris Calver has the good fortune to be living in one of the most beautiful areas in East Anglia. His images of his local seaside town of Southwold reveal great talent and an obvious affection for this special place. His photographs display an enviable versatility that allows him to exercise his talents and skilful techniques within such other genres as abstracts, flowers and portraits. Although Chris is perhaps best known for his stunning seascapes of the Suffolk coast (his images of Southwold Pier are of exceptional beauty), his rural landscapes can be equally awe-inspiring – as his image entitled Rainbow fully testifies.

J Duckett Images
Norfolk-based John Duckett creates remarkable portraits of his home county – and further afield – in a unique and instantly recognisable style. His spell-binding landscapes, bathed in gloriously warm light, ooze mood and drama. Sometimes a particular image stirs the viewer’s spirit in a way few other images can. John’s extraordinary Time and Tide, captured at a stormy Happisburgh, is one such image.

Jon Gibbs Photography
Jon Gibbs has been described by Amateur Photographer as "the hottest name in landscape photography". Anyone familiar with his frequently published images will understand why. Like Dave Peck, another Painting With Light friend and colleague, Jon, who lives in Norfolk, is one of those curious creatures who actually enjoy being on location at sunrise. As a result, his exquisite images of his beloved Norfolk - and of other regions throughout the UK - are bathed in that uniquely clean and delicate light that often heralds the start of a new day. In 2007 Jon was awarded the title of "Landscape Photographer of Year" for his remarkable photograph Storm over Scroby Sands.

The UK Landscape
As its name suggests, the “UK Landscape” website of Norfolk-based professional landscape photographer Chris Herring contains magnificent images of landscapes across the United Kingdom. Chris is fast establishing a reputation as one Norfolk’s best young photographers and a visit to his superbly constructed website provides an excellent introduction to his work. Brograve Mill, a delapidated structure on the Norfolk Broads, is a much-photographed feature; but there is no image of the mill more memorable or atmospheric than Chris’s hauntingly beautiful Ghostly Remains.

Imageast
Imageast is the website of good friend and landscape photographer Dave Peck. Dave, who lives in Essex, combines his technical expertise, acquired during the course of his career as a professional photographer, with his natural eye to create exceptional portraits of the landscapes of East Anglia and beyond. Like Ian and Sue, Dave has a particular affection for the Naze, a unique stretch of coastline close to the Essex town of Walton; and his images of this location capture its curious character perfectly. But if there is one series of images that exemplifies Dave’s technical expertise and instinctive eye for the photogenic, it has to be his panoramic portraits of the Stour Valley and Dedham Vale. These are composites, created by the merging of a number of images (sometimes as many as ten!) in Photoshop to create one mesmerising landscape with stunningly sharp and composed detail throughout. The beautiful images entitled Breaking Through and Spring on the Stour II are only two of Dave's many outstanding panoramic landscapes.

Shepherd Pics
Essex-based Chris Shepherd is one of those photographers with the eye to see the potential in the most unremarkable scenes: an autumn leaf on a London drain; the symmetry of some scaffolding; a splintered stick in snow. These subjects, which others would pass by without giving them a second glance, have been beautifully captured and presented by Chris on his superb website (which incidentally is a recipient of the Outdoor Photography Magazine’s Website of the Month Award). His wider landscape images, of scenes from Essex and further afield, are no less impressive. One particular image, Mountain Light is a little masterpiece. It would be easy to believe that it was by Charlie Waite; and as easy to believe that, if he were to see it, Mr Waite would wish that it was by him!

Overlooked Images
Essex-based Kathy Wright is a Norfolk photographer and farmer whose love for her local landscape is clearly evident in her hugely creative and original images. Much of Kathy's photography could best be described as a fine art celebration of her life on the land. Many of her images could also be said to be a celebration of her love for her two dogs!

Chris Rudland Photography
Essex-based Chris Rudland is not only an extremely talented landscape photographer whose photographs of East Anglia and of other regions in the UK are a constant source of awe and inspiration; he is also wonderful company. When you are planning to meet Chris for a day's photography, you can be sure that however disappointing the weather you will have enormous fun.
